Why do people say glory to god

The tune was taken from a previous piece, and debuted on Christmas Day to celebrate the Peace of Dresden , celebrating relief from the Second Silesian War. Multiple versions of the song, by various artists, play throughout the Christmas season. A doxology is defined as an expression of praise to God.

The Beautiful Scenery. The scene of this song was set better than any Hollywood stage could be constructed. It has not only carried it throughout the centuries but inspired others to write other songs about it this song! The powerful imagery of that day in time has been carried on pristinely throughout the centuries. Not a note of it wasted, all having meaning, as our intentional God forever broke through the darkness through Jesus, Our Savior.

In a society driven by imagery, we have maintained this scene through the power of the The Word. It Reminds Us of Our Purpose. The shepherds were poor and uneducated, the lowest class of society, and yet God interrupted them with a choir of angels.

In urgency, they set off to find the baby in the manger. The Angel Army. People have long been fascinated with angels. Light in the Darkness. There is nothing glorious about a cross either; it is just a rough piece of wood. But there—on the cross—you see that Jesus offered his life as a perfect sacrifice for sin.

He was nailed—bleeding—to that rough piece of wood, and there he died. Death is the just punishment for sin, and Jesus suffered that punishment on the cross in the place of sinners. But that is not all. Now you look to Jesus on the throne. The manger and the cross are in the past. Jesus is not lying in the manger. Nor is he hanging on the cross. Jesus was resurrected in a glorious new body of dazzling splendor.

If you want to see the glory of God, all you have to do is look to Jesus. That takes faith, of course. Looking to Jesus in faith also means asking him to forgive your sins. You will never see the glory of God if you insist on living for your own glory. Thou alone art most high, Jesus Christ!

God made you for his glory. Your ultimate purpose is to give God the honor and the worship that he alone deserves—praising him for the mystery of his triune being and for the gift of salvation in his Son, Jesus Christ. Any exceptions to the above must be approved by Tenth Presbyterian Church. It is sung or spoken by the Catholic church and other denominations such as Lutheran, Presbyterian and Methodist. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.

Other Songs Inspired By Luke Here is a small sampling of other carols and songs that use Luke in wonderful ways. Glory shone of holiness they smelled. Lord God, we come before You, bowing down our hearts and laying our praises at Your feet. You are The Almighty, worthy of all we could ever give You, and more. How wonderful that as we lift You up, our King, we feel more joy, and our desire to worship grows! Thank You, God, for all that You have done for us.

This season brings to mind Your amazing plan to restore our relationship with You. Sending Jesus to serve and save us was the ultimate display of Your love. We are so grateful. Please help us to keep the message of Luke settled into our spirits, so we always have a sense of Your majesty and Your kindness. And give us the boldness to proclaim Your greatness to others as we go through our days.

When you use those resources for HIS kingdom, then God receives all the glory… just as it should be. Keep Reading Now! God , the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus , the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried , and rose from the dead according to the Bible.

If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior , declaring, " Jesus is Lord ," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven. What is your response? Or Philosophically? Is the Bible True? Who is God? Is Jesus God? What Do You Believe?
